Jannie & Roland – Admirer of the 40’s

Jannie & Roland – Admirer of the 40’s

The older we got the more we knew what we like and what we don’t. To be able to take your time and select just the things you really admire is a great freedom.

In their youth, Jannie and Roland wanted to be different, to rebel against their parents house, to dress differently and to like music from a former decade. Their interest in a different time became their passion – their way of living.
With the contemporary ideal Jannie and Roland could never make friends even though they both would not like to live at another time than today.  The total freedom, the countless possibilities todays’ world is offering, is irreplaceable.

But the 40s is a decade where a lot of things Jannie and Roland like can be condensed, in fashion, architecture, music, values, manners in general ... things they missed today, so they started searching for it: a car, clothes, furniture, music etc.
Little by little things with history, with character and spirit found them: you feel when something truly fits and gives you a great feeling.
They found beauty in a different time because there are certain things Jannie and Roland missed here and now.
